Seven years after the release of Plastic Beach, Gorillaz have finally returned with a hotly anticipated album, Humanz. As they bring their fans brand new material, they return home to play a gig at The O2 on the 4th of December 2017.
The critics united in praise, the shows in America sold out in seconds, and the tickets for their headline show at the Margate festival with a throwback name Demon Dayz disappeared in less than 10 minutes. That wasn’t the end of the stream of successes: their Saturnz Barz (Spirit House) video became the most successful debut in the history of virtual reality on YouTube. They’ve also launched an innovative mixed reality app.
And even if you won’t make it to Kent on the 10th of June and if you missed their secret London show, don’t despair – you can still snatch tickets to their massive gig at The O2.
Their European tour, which features also the UK dates at Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester, reunites the Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, Russel Hobbs and 2D represented by the Gorillaz live band – Damon Albarn, Gabriel Wallace, Mike Smith, Jesse Hackett, Jeff Wootton, Karl Vanden Bossche, Seye Adelekan – as well as their friends who will join them on stage.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, the 5th of May, and you can get them at www.theo2.co.uk or by calling 0844 856 0202.
