Boxpark Shoreditch opens again: Traders offer £1 dishes for a good cause this week

Boxpark Shoreditch is opening its newly refurbished upper deck – and the traders are offering £1 dishes for a good cause.

The overhaul of the place allows new traders to offer their delicacies: Poptata, Osteria Della Pasta, Nosteagia, Coqfighter, CookDaily, What The Pitta and Les Deux Amies have all occupied the floor. A new events space will be also available, with events to come this summer.

If you’re in Shoreditch this week, you can pick from a selection of dishes for a good cause. Every day, Boxpark Shoreditch traders are offering a £1 dish – and all the earnings are donated to Shelter From The Storm and The British Red Cross UK Solidarity Fund, supported by a £125 donation for each from Boxpark. The primer charity tackles the problem of homelessness by providing the shelter and food for 43 people yearly, and the latter has been set up in the wake of recent attacks to help the victims of terror.

This action supporting the noble causes comes just in time for lunch: the offer runs between 12pm and 2pm. Because of its limited availability, make sure you get yours online here.

Here’s which traders serve the food this week, and what your quid can get you:

Monday 5th June
Porky’s: The Standard Sandwich – pulled pork and homemade slaw sandwich
Dum Dum Doughnuts: Artisan baked doughnut

Tuesday 6th June
The Athenian:  Souvlaki flatbread wrap, filled with tender chicken, juicy pork or grilled halloumi

Wednesday 7th June
Voodoo Ray’s: A slice of Ray’s Margherita pizza

Thursday 8th June
Les Deux Amies: Sugar and lemon French crepe

Friday 9th June
Coqfighter: The Original Chicken Burger – panko fried thigh, shredded iceberg, pickled red onion, smoked sambal mayo, Korean hot sauce
Poptata: Hand cut British potatoes cooked to order in sunflower oil, dusted with garlic, rosemary and thyme, loaded with grated Cheddar and Red Leicester and finished with hot paprika sauce

To redeem, head to Boxpark Shoreditch, 2-10 Bethnal Green Rd, London E1 6GY.
